David Brown Cropmaster
It’s not just cars we work on here at IK Sport Classic, we even look after vintage tractors.
A long standing storage customer got in touch to ask if we would be interested in working on a David Brown Cropmaster. Having just been through a sympathetic restoration, he’d bought the tractor for his young son. Although much of the work to get the tractor back to its former glory had been completed a few jobs remained.
After transporting the tractor back to our Holmfirth HQ we set to work rebuilding the throttle linkage and acquiring the missing lights, badges and reflectors. This was no small task as continuous design alterations were made to these tractors throughout production and the customer was keen on keeping as close to the original specification as possible.
Working closely with a David Brown specialist we managed to source the required parts and have made the missing bonnet side panels. The Plough Lamp, brackets and side panels were then painted by our in-house team to match the original colour before final assembly and hand over to the customer.
