Morgan Plus 4
Here at IK Sport Classic we look after a number of Morgans including this example of an early Plus 4. The car has been owned by the same family for many years and has been through our workshop for general maintenance throughout that time.
Unfortunatly accidents happen and the car was involved in a minor impact damaging the front of the car. As a trusted repairer, the owner asked if we could work with the insurance company to get the car fixed and back on the road. After submitting our estimate and explaining the repair process we were quickly granted the repair authority and got to work.
Although many repair panels are available direct from Morgan, due to there hand built nature it’s often quicker and easier to repair the existing panels and our team of experienced craftsmen have the required skills.
We began by stripping down the front end of the Morgan before pulling the wings back into .their original position. This then allowed us to planish out the dents and return the metal to a smooth finish. Once the repairs had been completed the front end assembly was rebuilt and adjustments made to ensure proper alignment. All panels were then removed from the car, prepped and painted. Once the final assembly had been completed we gave the car a full service and MOT before handing back to the customer as good as new.
